Preventative Health from Within: Colon Cleansing
When you feel like your muscles ache, you go to the wellness center
and treat yourself with a massage, an aromatherapy session, and many
other treatments. When your hair becomes too long or too difficult
to manage, you go to the hair salon. When you feel like your skin
suffers from too much stress, you go to your dermatologist and get a
facial session. When you feel like your whole body needs to be
cleansed and relaxed, you go swimming in a pool or a hot tub. But
what do you do to pamper your inner organs? Specifically, what do
you do to coddle your digestive system?
Colon Cleansing is like giving your digestive system, particularly
the intestines and the colon, a massage, an aromatherapy, a hair
spa, a facial treatment, and a hot bath, all in one. Through colon
cleansing, cholesterol, bacteria, toxins and other unnecessary waste
products are eliminated and taken out of the body, which in turn
enhances the operation and functioning of the digestive system. In
terms of the colon specifically, the absence of persistent and
hazardous particles within the colon wall decreases the possibility
of the body to catch gastrointestinal related maladies.
On the other hand, perhaps we should veer away from the idea that
taking care of the inner body should only be done just to prevent
diseases. Perhaps we must begin to put an aesthetic sense on how we
treat our organs within.
Yes, it is true, we cannot simply judge how beautiful our innards
are since we cannot see them, but we all know that we can feel their
beauty by how our body operates smoothly and gracefully. Perhaps we
should stop viewing colon cleansing as form of disease prevention,
but rather as a required maintenance activity that we should all do,
the same way we need to take a bath every day to keep ourselves
clean, spray perfume and use deodorant to make ourselves comfortable
and sparkling, and comb our hair to look fresh and pleasant.
Colon cleansing can strongly be done by keeping a low cholesterol,
low salt and sugar, and fiber rich diet filled with fruits,
vegetables, cereals, grains, and meat. Drinking 8 to 12 glasses of
water everyday, together with drinking natural fruit juices is like
the inner body's dive to a cold, blue sea. Regular exercise, along
with playing sports, is like its massage, and taking herbal
supplements is like its aromatherapy.
Performing these healthy habits enable our digestive system to
absorb all the necessary nutrients that our body needs. When our
inner body is happy, the outer part simply glows. You face everyday
challenges armed with a smile and a highly positive attitude, and
you end the day with such satisfaction and happiness.
